Thats right. Money magazine picked Rocklin California as one of the best cities to live in. It was based on job market, schools, things to do, low crime rate and location.Rocklin placed 65 out of 100 best places to live. With medium home prices at about $275,000 and medium household income at about $95,000, quality of life is good here. Less than two hours to Lake Tahoe and about the same to San Fransisco, the location is perfect for weekend trips to the high country or the big city. Rocklin’ beginnings started back in the 1800′s with Rocklin being the largest supplier of granite cut stones for building construction. Many famous buildings in San Fransicso and other parts of the country are built of Rocklins granite. Currently only one quarry still exists. Today Rocklin offers, many community services including youth sport programs, evening at the park programs, theatre, and special crowd pleaser events, such as the upcoming event Hot Chili and Cool Cars on Sat. Sept 18 on Pacific Street. This small friendly town with 33% of the population 35-54 years of age, 46% of households having children and 22% over the age of 65, makes for the perfect environment to live, work and play.
